How does it work?
Brushed motors create their signature whine because carbon brushes rub against a spinning commutator. A brushless DC motor removes those brushes entirely, so the dominant high-frequency noise source is gone and the running sound drops to a low hum. The diamond bit abrades the nail surface one thin layer at a time rather than slicing through in a single action, so there is no clipping the quick and no splintering. Three sized grinding ports guide the nail to the bit at the correct width for cats, toy breeds, medium breeds and large breeds.
How is this different from a compression glove or a heat pack?
A cheap unbranded grinder uses a brushed motor and hits 50-60 dB, which is exactly the mechanical whine that makes an anxious dog flee and a cat vanish.
